Swift One // Cloudwater x Dry & Bitter - Mobile Speaker

"Swift One" // NOUN. British, informal. An alcoholic drink (often, but not necessarily, a half-pint of beer) consumed quickly, usually of mythical singularity.

If you thought a craft beer/music blog wouldn’t try a hyped, collab DIPA called Mobile Speaker from Cloudwater - no else, you are a fool! We’ve been holding off on this one for perhaps a little too long, but boy was it worth the wait.

It’s certainly a portable party, coming in at a rollicking 8.8%, yet it brilliantly conceals this resonating weightiness. With a thick, foamy mouthfeel its all pineapple, and ripe melon though there’s certainly a peppery, piney hoppyness there. Indeed its surprisingly grassy, and almost sharply bitter compared to the usual CW number, perhaps an influence from the fine folks at Dry & Bitter.

That tart, almost Belgian booziness provides a superb undercurrent for the long, sweet tropical flavours. It’s not really juice as a result, its a little more complicated than that - and all the better for it.
