Swift One // To Øl - Frost Bite
"Swift One" // NOUN. British, informal. An alcoholic drink (often, but not necessarily, a half-pint of beer) consumed quickly, usually of mythical singularity.
While we're undoubtedly huge fans of To ØL nothing makes us more worried about breweries making winter, or should we say Christmas beers. Thankfully, although 'Frost Bite' is brewed with orange peel and pine needles to invoke the seasonal spirit, there’s nothing typical about this Christmassy Pale Ale.
It’s first and foremost a hoppy and delicious brew, rather than a bunch of Yuletide ingredients thrown together in search of a frosty hit! We have to admit there’s somewhat of a muted aroma, but we'll easily forgive that - as the taste does all the talking here.
With radiant flavours of dried citrus fruits and a decent kick of grassy spice, it's a winter warmer for sure. Add to that a brilliantly contrarian design by Kasper Ledet to boot and it’s definitely a holiday highlight for us!
