Swift One // Wylam - 45:33

"Swift One" // NOUN. British, informal. An alcoholic drink (often, but not necessarily, a half-pint of beer) consumed quickly, usually of mythical singularity.

We can’t get enough of Wylam’s packaging design, but this takes the LCD-esque, disco biscuit. Oh and the beer’s not bad too, in fact it’s actually quite stunning.

With “psychedelic” doses of Cryo: Amarillo, Citra and Chinook, it’s hop-heavy enough to put anyone on the dance-floor. On the nose it’s all pineapple but the taste is a sweet, milky gold - with a hefty dose of tangy grapefruit juice and pithy, zesty orange.

Though it’s sticky and smooth like a booze filled oil slick it’s backed by a much needed, vibrant, citrusy bitterness. This all goes a long way in dangerously concealing that ever so unnoticeable 8.4%. So yeah, it’s fair to say we’d put this one on repeat.
